This year we introduced a new set of TRAIL Virtues that shape not only how our students learn, but how they grow and connect with the world around them.

We began with Curiosity. In the first weeks of school it showed up everywhere: wondering what the year would bring, asking questions, exploring new ideas and getting to know new classmates and teachers. Curiosity is more than asking questions. It is the spark that keeps us learning.

Next came Thinker: looking at challenges from different perspectives, asking thoughtful questions and making connections. Our PK4 students put it into action as they finished a unit on independence. They practiced daily routines, took on new responsibilities and discovered how much they can do on their own. Then they welcomed their families into the classroom to show how much they had grown.

Our next virtue is Knowledgeable, and we can't wait to see how our Trailblazers bring it to life.

Este año presentamos un nuevo conjunto de Virtudes TRAIL que dan forma no solo a cómo aprenden nuestros estudiantes, sino a cómo crecen y se relacionan con el mundo que los rodea.

Empezamos con la Curiosidad. En las primeras semanas de clases apareció en todas partes: al preguntarnos qué traería el año, al hacer preguntas, al explorar nuevas ideas y al conocer a nuevos compañeros y maestros. La curiosidad es más que preguntar. Es la chispa que nos mantiene aprendiendo.

Luego vino Pensador: mirar los retos desde distintas perspectivas, hacer preguntas profundas y establecer conexiones. Nuestros estudiantes de PK4 lo pusieron en práctica al cerrar su unidad sobre la independencia. Practicaron rutinas diarias, asumieron nuevas responsabilidades y descubrieron todo lo que pueden hacer por sí mismos. Después recibieron a sus familias en el salón para mostrarles cuánto habían crecido.

Nuestra próxima virtud es Conocedor, y queremos ver cómo nuestros Trailblazers la hacen realidad.
