For Autism Awareness Month, our community built a giant puzzle together. Each piece was unique, representing a different student, a different way of thinking and a different way of seeing the world. Joined together, they showed the true picture of our school: vibrant, diverse and strong.
On Down Syndrome Awareness Day, students and staff wore colorful, mismatched socks as a symbol of individuality and acceptance, and took part in moments of learning, kindness and reflection about inclusion.
These days matter, but for us inclusion is not a monthly event. It is a daily promise, and it is the heart of who we are.
